SNEDA
is a neighborhood based collaborative effort among four community

The IdaLew EDC serves Idaho and Lewis counties in North Central Idaho.

economic development throughout Spokane County by offering qualified
businesses special tax incentives
Tax-Increment Financing
(TIF):
A method of funding public investment in a designated redevelopment
area. It allows tax-increment financing of publicly owned
infrastructure - roads, power, water, sewer, and other public
facilities - for large business ventures - now available in Washington.
Spokane's Foreign Trade Zone #224
The
Spokane Airport Board received a Grant of Authority from the
Foreign-Trade Zones Board in August of 1997 to serve as Grantees of
Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) No. 224. FTZ No. 224 provides specific
benefits to global companies that simply are not available through any
other legal mechanism. To take advantage of zone operations, businesses
can elect to locate at the Spokane International Airport, Airport
Business Park, Felts Field Airport, or seek Subzone status for their
facility anywhere in the greater Spokane area.
Idaho Dept. of Commerce Business Services has information on economic incentives available in Idaho.
SBA's HUBZone Program
stimulates economic development and create jobs in urban and rural communities by
providing contracting preferences to small businesses—that are located in a HUBZone
and that hire employees who live in a HUBZone.
It is a “place-based” federal contracting program serving new market communities with low income or high unemployment.
13 Census Tracts in Spokane qualify, as well as many rural areas in
Eastern WA and North ID.
