  • Women Business Owners looking to sell to the Government have a great online resource - WomenBiz.gov. This site is a gateway to find business opportunities, resources, forms and best practices to help you do business with the government profitably. 

  • SBA's Online Women's Business Center offers women information about business principles and practices, management techniques, networking, industry news, market research and technology training, as well as information about the many SBA services and resources available.

  • SBA's PRO-Net: An electronic gateway of procurement information-- a Procurement Marketing and Access Network for Small Business.

  • The Center for Women's Business Research, founded as the National Foundation for Women Business Owners, is the premier source of knowledge about women business owners and their enterprises worldwide. 

  • The National Women's Business Council (NWBC) is a valuable resource for policymakers, women business owners, the press and others interested in women's entrepreneurship. Of special interest is their recent report: Key Facts About Women Business Owners and Their Enterprises.

Networking Opportunities for Women

  • The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Inland NW Chapter, meets the 2nd Thursday of every month from 5:30 to 8:00 pm. Each month they have member spotlights, specific roundtable topics or speakers. The focus of these meetings is to interact with other women business owners and learn something of value relating to your particular situation as women business owners. The group meets in Spokane, WA and in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and participates in national events.

  • The Spokane Business Women's Network meets on the 4th Thursday of each month and publishes a quarterly newsletter, Network Update. It is a professional association dedicated to the advancement of women in the community through education and networking. It is part of the National Association of Female Executives Network.
